WE ARE CLEAN CASHMERE

Come on in and check out how this all works! We have farms all over the country that contribute the raw cashmere to create our beautiful cashmere yarns. Your purchases here help support all of these small farms around the U.S. and help us to continue to support them. Thank you so much!

ORIGIN STORY

IMG_9744.HEIC

Realizing the U.S. had no modern, farm-to-consumer cashmere supply chain, Heidi and Christine launched Clean Cashmere to change that. Their model centers on traceable sourcing from small U.S. farms committed to animal welfare, fiber quality, and environmental stewardship.

Clean Cashmere is proud to offer homegrown, sustainable luxury—reviving U.S. cashmere for conscious consumers who value local, ethical production.

Clean Cashmere began when co-owners Heidi and Christine met as fellow U.S. cashmere goat farmers in 2015. Their shared passion for sustainable farming and high-quality fiber sparked a friendship and a mission: to connect American cashmere producers directly with consumers.

This pivotal trip to Tuscany for an International Cashmere Conference—organized by Christine and the Cashmere Goat Association—confirmed what they already believed: U.S. cashmere could stand toe-to-toe with global competitors in quality and sustainability.

OUR CUSTOMERS

Clean Cashmere is pioneering the growth of the U.S. cashmere industry by connecting American-grown fiber with conscious consumers and businesses. Every purchase supports local farms and strengthens our national fiber economy.

We offer four exclusive lines of yarn in various weights and blends—all featuring genuine American cashmere that’s soft, strong, and built to last. No synthetic fillers, ever.

Brushing out Goats.jpg

Our herd farms typically raise between 25 and 300 goats. We provide consultations and pay premium prices for top-quality cashmere, ensuring immediate payment at our dehairing mill. By investing in farmer education and fair compensation, we help sustain high standards and strengthen the future of U.S. fiber farming.

Joining the Clean Cashmere Herd connects your fiber to a wider market and highlights your farm through our “Meet the Herd” page, which includes interviews, photos, and links to your farm site or store. This transparency boosts exposure while celebrating the people behind the fiber. We’re here to help your farm thrive—within the Herd and beyond.
